The mission of the Canadian Society of Dermatopathology is to provide a forum for the promotion of education and awareness about advances in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, and to stimulate basic and translational research by coordinating multidisciplinary efforts across pathology, dermatology, oncology and surgery. This will be achieved by annual meetings, workshops and conferences with discussions about challenging cases.
The vision of the CSDP is to encourage collaboration on important and challenging issues in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the skin with the aim of improving patient outcome, survival and overall quality of life in the era of personalized medicine.
Management and Structure
The board is run by an elected president and vice-president and is comprised of designated representatives from each province.
Membership is open to everyone involved in the care of skin-related diseases including anatomical/clinical pathologists, dermatologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurses, molecular biologist, surgeons, research associates, fellows and residents.
