HEMATOPATHOLOGIST
Diagnostic Services of Manitoba is seeking applications for a full-time Hematopathologist to commence as soon as possible.

The successful applicant will be based at the Hematopathology Laboratories of the University of Manitoba affiliated Hospital Health Sciences Centre, in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will join a practice group that provides comprehensive hematological diagnostic services to the Province of Manitoba.

Primary duties will include neoplastic hematopathology, with an emphasis on lymphoma diagnosis, and general hematology in support of various local tertiary care programs, and a provincial referral program. Participation in the molecular hematology, and/or flow cytometry/immunology services would be desirable. There is opportunity for engaging in hematology and or immunology-related clinical research. Candidates will be expected to take part in the teaching of postgraduate and undergraduate students, and to hold an appointment in the University of Manitoba, Department of Pathology.

Candidates must have specialty qualifications in Pathology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Acceptable certifications include Anatomical, Clinical and anatomical, General Pathology, and Hematological Pathology certification or equivalent. Additional training/experience in molecular hematopathology would be an asset. Demonstrable formal/accredited training in current lymphoma diagnosis is required.
