The Division of Hematopathology and Transfusion Medicine, Vancouver Acute, is seeking a full time academic Hematopathologist.

Vancouver Acute is the largest tertiary care and teaching institution in Western Canada providing care for adult medical and surgical populations, supporting organ transplant services, the provincial leukemia/bone marrow transplant program, oncology services, complex cardiac surgery, reconstructive orthopedics, and is a regional trauma centre. 
Division of Hematopathology serves as regional or provincial hub.  There is a wide spectrum of routine and referral hematopathology, flow cytometry, transfusion medicine, coagulation, autoimmune and transplant immunology supporting provincial leukemia/bone marrow, solid organ transplant programs, and a large group of general haematologists. 
Applicants will hold RCPSC certification in Hematological Pathology or equivalent, and additional formal training, experience, or certification in one of the specialized fields of Hematopathology.
The successful applicant will join a busy hematopathology group practice. With a clinical appointment at UBC in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine the successful applicant will engage in Departmental research and teaching programs including undergraduate and graduate students as well as resident training. Further, the successful applicant will participate in administrative tasks, including committee work, collaboration in health authority initiatives and research.
Salary and hospital rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
