Course Outline:

The Banff Pathology Course is a collaborative effort of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, University of Calgary, the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology, University of Alberta and the CAP-ACP to provide a continuing medical education activity for residents in training and practicing pathologists.

The focus for 2016 is Head & Neck/Thyroid Pathology and will provide a forum for sharing information on current practice diagnostic methods and updating knowledge in emerging areas of Head & Neck/Thryoid Pathology.
Course Objectives:

The objectives of the course are to enable participants (practicing pathologists and residents-in-training) to:

  1. Review common topics in the practice of Head & Neck Thyroid pathology
  2. Update knowledge with newer concepts and classifications in Head and Neck/Thyroid pathology
  3. Interact with experts and hone practical diagnostic approaches to Head & Neck/Thyroid pathology

Only one day may be selected at this rate, registration on multiple single days requires full conference registration.


CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations must be received in writing to banffpathology@eventsmgt.com
  • Cancellation policy:
    • On or before August 15, 2016 the registration fee less $50.00 CAD will be refunded.
    • No refunds on or after August 16, 2016.

Accreditation:

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as identified by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the CAP-ACP. Participants may claim up to a maximum of 20 hours of study credits.

Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme .
