CAPACP LOGO Format of the Comprehensive Objective Examination in Anatomical Pathology - Update

Comprehensive objective examinations make it possible to obtain a more complete evaluation of the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses. Such examinations are considered as a “whole”. A candidate does not need to pass any one component. Success or failure is based on consideration of performance on ALL components of the examination. Therefore, if a candidate is unsuccessful on the whole, all components of the examination must be repeated within the period of candidate eligibility.

The comprehensive objective examination in Anatomical Pathology includes a written component, a practical component and an oral component. The examination assesses the candidate’s abilities to function as a consultant anatomical pathologist across the CanMEDS domains of Medical Expert, Communicator, Collaborator, Leader, Health Advocate, Scholar and Professional.

Accommodations

Did you know that your choice of hotel for the CAP-ACP Annual Meeting has a direct impact on the association? In order to secure sufficient meeting space for the conference we must guarantee a minimum number of bedroom bookings by our delegates. Although we understand that making your reservations outside of the CAP-ACP block can sometimes be more economical, it may cause the association to have to pay a penalty for unbooked rooms within the contracted room block, which over time will result in higher conference registration fees. Please assist the CAP-ACP by making your hotel reservation in the official conference block at the Hilton Quebec Hotel.

Reservations:

A block of guestrooms has been reserved at the Hilton Quebec Hotel. All participants in the conference are required to make their own accommodation arrangements directly with the hotel. Please indicate Canadian Association of Pathologists when reserving your room. The conference rate will be available on a first-come/first-serve basis and once the block is full the rate is not guaranteed. If there are any remaining unbooked rooms on June 7, 2018, they will be released for general sale and the special conference rate will not be available after that time.

CAP-ACP Conference Rate: $255.00
