The Island Health Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology, and Medical Genetics is seeking applications for a full-time anatomical pathologist who can provide broad coverage in surgical pathology. Previous work experience and/or fellowship training would be considered an asset. Based at the North Island Campbell River Hospital, you will work with a team in the hospital environment, sharing knowledge and collaborating to ensure seamless pathology services within the local community and across the island. You will be a member of the Department and report to the Division Head and Medical Director of Anatomical Pathology and the Department Head and Medical Director for Laboratory Medicine.
The North Island Campbell River Hospital, a 95-bed facility that opened in October 2017, is a regional referral centre for a population of approximately 40,000.  In addition to Laboratory services, the hospital has a broad range of consultants, including Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Otolaryngology, Radiology and Family Medicine.
