The University Health Network (UHN) Laboratory Medicine Program is seeking a certified Clinical Laboratory Geneticist to join the Division of Genome Diagnostics.
The successful candidate will join a large academic laboratory faculty with diverse diagnostic expertise, teaching responsibilities, basic and clinical research activities. The division of Genome Diagnostics has a high volume of interesting and challenging inherited and acquired disease cases and utilizes leading edge technologies, including novel applications of next generation sequencing. The division is embedded within the Laboratory Medicine Program, and constitutes the largest clinical cancer and hereditary genetics testing service in Canada in an accredited Health Canada and CAP/CLIA environment.
Minimum requirements include a PhD or MD degree and board certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics through the CCMG or ABMG. Dual boarding with Cytogenetics is required. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, University of Toronto, at the Lecturer/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank consistent with academic qualifications.
