Applications are invited for a general or anatomical pathologist position at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC).  The successful candidate will join a community pathology practice at UHNBC, Prince George.  This is a regional centre that provides a wide range of anatomical and clinical pathology services to Northern BC.

Minimum requirements include Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in general or anatomical pathology and eligibility for licensure to practice in BC.

Our department is responsible for surgical specimens from UHNBC and the surrounding area.  We support a range of practices including general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, plastic surgery, dermatology, radiology, gastroenterology and respirology. 

Clinical pathology is a large part of our practice, including direct interpretation of clinical specimens/ assay results (e.g., bone marrows, peripheral smears, protein electrophoresis etc.), consultation with clinical colleagues and medical leadership/ oversight of transfusion, haematology and chemistry laboratories in a local and regional setting.

We are looking for a general or anatomical pathologist who will maintain the highest possible standards of practice and is motivated to participate in medical leadership and oversight.
