Southern Interior of British Columbia

British Columbia’s magnificent southern interior boasts year-round entertainment. The mountainous landscape is host to world-renowned skiing resorts and bike parks, while the surrounding rivers and lakes are waiting to be explored. The area also enjoys a lively arts and cultural scene with award-winning art galleries, thrilling festivals & events, and sprawling vineyards and artisanal wineries. Life in the Interior of BC provides work-life balance, active living, vibrant entertainment, and welcoming communities.

Interior Health Authority is currently recruiting for experienced anatomic and clinical pathologists (AP/CP) or Canadian Anatomic or General Pathologists to join our dedicated teams in several of our communities. As a pathologist with Interior Health you will provide pathology services to patients, report on pathology cases, and perform other laboratory services where pathology input is required. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of clinical practice experience, with strong skills in surgical pathology and laboratory diagnostics, and will be comfortable with independent practice in a small group environment. Additional fellowship training in surgical pathology and the ability to sign out cytology and bone marrow biopsies would be an asset. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to relate well with laboratory staff, clinicians, and administration.

Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Medicine, be certified by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC), be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSCB), have CMPA Coverage, and satisfy the credentialing requirements of the Interior Health Authority.

Full-time and part-time positions with on call requirements will vary depending on location. Compensation is based on service contract rate, which depends on qualifications and experience, $326,727 for a new-grad first full year of service, plus MOCAP level 2. Relocation is reimbursed at a maximum of $10,000 or $15,000 depending on current residence and rural incentives may apply to certain sites.
