Pathologist Positions Trail & Cranbrook, British Columbia

TRAIL, BRITISH COLUMBIA (CANADA). The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is looking for an experienced anatomic and clinical pathologist (AP/CP) or Canadian General Pathologists, for a three person practice based at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital laboratory in Trail, British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of clinical practice experience, with strong skills in surgical pathology and laboratory diagnostics, and will be comfortable with independent practice in a small group environment. Additional fellowship training in surgical pathology and the ability to sign out cytology and bone marrow biopsies would be an asset. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to relate well with laboratory staff, clinicians, and administration.

CRANBROOK, BRITISH COLUMBIA (CANADA). The East Kootenay Regional Hospital, located at the foot of the Rockies in beautiful Cranbrook, BC, is seeking a General Pathologist (AP/CP) or Anatomical Pathologist with additional training in hematopathology to complete our 4.0 FTE pathology team. Our group performs approximately 10,000 inpatient and outpatient surgical cases and 10-15 hospital autopsies per year, as well as non-gynecological cytopathology, frozen sections, and bone marrow biopsies. There is also an opportunity to perform coroner’s autopsies if interested. We have active hematology, transfusion medicine, and medical biochemistry services (with lesser involvement in microbiology), and provide medical leadership for all of the Interior Health laboratories in the East Kootenay region.
