Shared Health is the not-for-profit corporation responsible for all of Manitoba's public laboratory services and for rural diagnostic imaging services. Our vision is to create a patient-first environment that provides quality laboratory and diagnostic imaging services supporting the health care needs of all Manitobans.
The successful candidate will join a practice group that provides comprehensive hematology, immunology, and molecular diagnostic services to the Province of Manitoba.
The successful applicant will be based at the pathology Laboratories of the University of Manitoba affiliated Hospital Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will become part of our Molecular genomic team that is constantly expanding its test menu. The laboratory is on the verge of employing next-generation sequencing. The successful candidate has the opportunity to participate in either surgical pathology or hematopathology service depending on their additional expertise. All job duties are required in English.
Candidates will be expected to take part in the teaching of postgraduate and undergraduate students, and to hold an appointment in the University of Manitoba Department of Pathology (less than 10% of the position requirement).
Candidates must have Molecular-Genetic Pathology certification or equivalent, medical and specialty qualifications in Pathology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Demonstrable formal/accredited training or experience in molecular pathology is required.

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include dental, health, and an annual vacation of 27 days. Shared Health will make contributions to Pathologist personal Registered Retirement Savings Plan account with MD Management as set out in the Doctors Manitoba contract with Shared Health.
